每週金句-No.033 孔子說：「君子固窮，小人窮斯濫矣。」君子謀道不謀食，憂道不憂貧，餓死事小，失節事大。

孔子說：「君子雖處於窮困的環境，仍然可以守住節操，若是小人陷於窮困的環境之時，為了脫困離貧，是無所不用其極，毫無節操可言。」又說：「君子心心念念所追求的，是自己心中那個與天同齊的道，而不是人人豔羨的功名利祿。」所以，人人心中都要有一把道德的尺，不論是富貴、貧賤或是威武，都不能動搖你的心志，寧可餓死，也不能放棄自己的節操。
Confucius said, “A superior man upholds Dao in poverty, while a small man becomes abusive in poverty.” A superior man pursues Dao instead of food and worries about Dao rather than poverty. Being starved to death is a small matter but committing a breach of virtue is a big deal.
