做人要先注意自己的言行，行顧言言顧行，處處保持覺知，保持謹慎。保持謹慎的修養，不輕易地對他人作出許諾，一旦答應了別人的要求，就盡心竭力地達成別人的願望，做到言而有信。不生分別，不起怨念，保持寬廣的胸襟，能夠對所有人都一視同仁，保持著友愛的態度，讓愛流動起來。
Confucius said: “Be cautious and trustworthy, and love all people in general.” Be cautious is to act in accordance with the norm. The norm means, firstly, to deal with others not contrary to human feelings and customs, and, secondly, to act without violating the laws of nature.
