「敬意」是儒門重要的心法，《禮記》開篇即言「毋不敬」。懷著一顆戰戰兢兢，如臨深淵，如履薄冰的心，對萬事萬物充滿敬意，處事嚴謹，不偏不倚有分寸，接人待物不生分別，恭敬有禮，是為儒門風範。
Confucius said, “When you are out dealing with others, act as if you were receiving an important guest.” One should handle all matters solemnly and prudently, in an orderly fashion; treating people with courtesy and reciprocity, regardless of their social status; and be generous and sincere, showing your counterpart the kind of respect normally given to an important guest.
