每週金句-No.043 孔子言：「不知禮，無以立也。」「禮」為人倫日用，立身根本之道，言行身教，行禮合宜，生活細微處，不失其禮。
孔子言：「不知禮，無以立也。」「禮」為人倫日用，立身根本之道，言行身教，行禮合宜，生活細微處，不失其禮。
孔子說：「倘若不懂得做人應對進退的禮儀以及人與人之間應有的尊重，便不知立身守約之儀則，將無從立身於社會。」所以「禮」是日常生活中人與人之間待人處事不可或缺的，也是立身處世的基本原則。一言一行都要以身作則，應對進退的分寸都要拿捏合宜。即便是在生活中看似微不足道的地方，都不可輕忽而失去應有的本分、體貼與尊重。
Confucius said, “Without knowing the rules of propriety, one cannot establish his character.” Propriety being abided by in human relationships every day, is the essence for establishing one’s character. One should set good example through his words and deeds pursuant to propriety and not act contrary to propriety even in life’s trivial details.
