善養生者,食不過飽,飲不過多,冬不極溫,夏不極涼。
養身如同養生,如中庸所云 : 致中和天地位焉,萬物育焉。中和之道適宜就好,此為養身之基。飲食起於欲,口欲不節則病殃自從口入,冬夏本有節氣,四時添衣以食調氣,人同天地相合,則其生氣自養,無憂病患,其道自然,人生亦是同理,順命而居,知足長樂。
To be good at preserving one’s health: don’t eat too much, don’t drink too much, don’t stay too warm in winter, and don’t keep too cool in summer.
