孔子告訴我們：「一位謙德的君子，對於飲食不注重是否精美，居住不要求是否富麗，而是對任何事務勤勞敏捷，言談之間懂得小心謹慎。」做事盡己之力，沒有心存絲毫僥倖，與其想從他人身上找到突破生命困境的鑰匙，不如回頭想想自己要如何轉變，心態是否無私無怨，凡事皆由自己本身開始做起，以身範德行獲得大家的認同。
Confucius said, “A superior man does not seek to gratify his appetite when eating, does not look for ease and comfort in dwelling, is earnest in what he is doing and careful in using his words.” Don’t leave anything to chance, act on your own instead of counting on others, set yourself as a good example for others, and win over others with your virtues.
